Rohan Ellis Appointed to CIIC Board

Well-known local personality and entrepreneur Rohan Ellis is renowned for getting things done.

A passionate advocate for supporting local businesses and events, the Cook Islands Investment Corporation Board of Directors is proud to welcome Mr Ellis to its board table.

Mr Ellis was officially appointed to the board on Monday 22 October, by the Minister of Cook Islands Investment Corporation (CIIC), Hon. Albert Nicholas.

Born and raised in Rarotonga, Mr Ellis attended university in Queensland Australia where he completed a business degree majoring in tourism. He returned home and has gone on to hold various positions throughout the years including as a member of Cook Islands Tourism Industry Council and the Cook Islands Chef’s Association.

His business portfolio is vast – most recently Mr Ellis was the managing director of Natura Properties Limited, which included the Islander Hotel and Restaurant, Hula Bar and 40 plus holiday homes among other assets.

He is also a polished cultural performer who has judged the Cook Islands International Dancer of the Year on many occasions.

CIIC Minister Albert Nicholas says he is delighted to make the announcement about Mr Ellis’ appointment.

“Rohan comes to the board with a considerable wealth of experience and knowledge and will without doubt, contribute to the great work CIIC is undertaking managing Crown assets and enterprises,” Mr Nicholas says.

CIIC Board Director and Chairperson Fletcher Melvin shared Minister Nicholas’ sentiments.

“The Board is very much looking forward to working alongside Rohan to deliver quality assets that serve the Cook Islands people,” Mr Melvin says.
