Acknowledging Eleanor Roi’s Contribution and Celebrating a New Milestone

The Cook Islands Investment Corporation (CIIC) acknowledges the recent resignation of Ms. Eleanor Roi from the CIIC Board, effective 1 December, 2024.

“Ms. Roi’s tenure on the Board has been marked by her unwavering dedication, strategic insights, and commitment to the Cook Islands’ development. We extend our heartfelt gratitude for her valuable contributions and wish her every success in her future endeavors” said board chair Fletcher Melvin.

In an exciting new chapter, Ms. Roi has been appointed Vice-Chairperson of the Asian Shipowners’ Association (ASA) following its 33rd Annual General Meeting held in Hong Kong earlier this year. As the CEO of the Cook Islands Shipowners Association (CISOA), Ms. Roi has been a staunch advocate for the maritime sector, ensuring the Cook Islands’ voice is heard on the international stage.

“Her new role reflects her leadership within the maritime industry and positions her to further champion sustainability, innovation, and regional collaboration. We are confident that her expertise and vision will bring significant benefits to the ASA and its member associations, and we wish Eleanor every success” Mr Melvin concluded.
