Caren Rangi, Board Director

Ms Caren Rangi is an experienced professional public sector governance practitioner and a qualified chartered accountant, and lives in the sunny Hawkes Bay in New Zealand, with family ties to Rakahanga and Manihiki, Tongareva, Rarotonga and Aitutaki. She is currently chair of the Arts Council of New Zealand (Creative NZ) and Pacific Homecare and, a board member of Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa Radio New Zealand, and Pacific Cooperation Broadcasting Ltd. Ms Rangi’s service to governance and leadership has been recognised when she was awarded a 2016 New Zealander of the Year Local Hero Award, in 2018 with the Hawke’s Bay Business Leader of the Year award. In and also in 2018, she when she was conferred with an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit.
