Since its inception in 2018, the CIIC Group Director Training program has provided ongoing professional development for directors, executives and managers from across the CIIC family of entities — covering a wide range of topics including governance, strategy, finance and risk.

Additionally the New Zealand Institute of Directors hosts the Company Directors Course in Rarotonga since the first cohort in March 2024. The Company Directors’ Course (CDC) is the benchmark program for directors and senior leaders reporting to boards, and a prerequisite for Chartered Membership of the Institute of Directors. Delivered over five and a half intensive days, the course combines real-world case studies and boardroom simulations to build practical governance skills, strengthen judgement, and boost confidence at the board table
