The Cook Islands Investment Corporation (CIIC) is looking for an Experienced Engineer who is keen to contribute to the development of new Government buildings and facilities.
As a Senior Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the planning, design, and implementation of key building and infrastructure projects, while also contributing to asset management through data collection and digitisation. You will play a crucial role in developing technical/engineering design drawings and specifications, and assist with managing quality, risks, and issues that arise during project implementation. This is a hands-on role where you will also mentor junior staff, applying your technical expertise and leadership skills to ensure the delivery of high-quality outcomes in complex and challenging environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead engineering design, technical documentation, and project cost estimates.
Provide engineering advice, review specifications, and ensure compliance with industry standards and government policies.
Oversee data collection and digitisation for asset management, including inspections, condition assessments, and drone/aerial imagery.
Manage project works, including quality, risks, and on-site inspections.
What We’re Looking For:
Qualifications: Bachelor of Engineering Degree (Civil/Structural) (essential); CPEng or equivalent learning (desirable).
Experience: At least 10 years’ experience in engineering designs or project works supervision – structural or civil projects (essential); 5 years’ design and/or project management experience in the Cook Islands or other Pacific Island country and 5 years’ experience working on high profile Government projects with significant public attention and/or involving multiple stakeholders (desirable)
