Tangata Fletcher Melvin is the proprietor and Managing Director of Island Craft, a leader in authentic Pacific-Cook Islands ‘Arts & Craft’ and one of the nation’s oldest and thriving business enterprises. He is also the owner of Perfumes of Rarotonga, which is the largest manufacturer of Cook Islands Body Care products and Melvin Enterprises Ltd with holdings in retail outlets and properties.

Skilled in Black Pearls jewellery, Fiberglass, Product Design, Customer Service, and Strategic Planning. Strong management and business startup experience and development of governance programs. Previously held CI Chamber of Commerce president, Price Tribunal Chair (end 2020) and Financial Supervisory Commission Board member. Board Director on Cook Islands Investment Corporation and Chairman of Cook Island Vodafone. I graduated from AUT Auckland, New Zealand, Otago Polytechnic and the University of the South Pacific.
