The Cook Islands Investment Corporation (CIIC) is seeking a motivated and organised Project Officer who is keen to support the delivery of Government building and infrastructure projects that benefit our community.

As a Project Officer, you will provide essential project coordination and administrative support across the planning, delivery, and completion of CIIC projects. Working closely with Project Engineers, external consultants, contractors, and stakeholders, you will assist with project documentation, reporting, data management, and day-to-day coordination activities. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and looking to build a career in project management within a public sector environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the coordination and administration of projects, including maintaining project documentation, schedules, and records.
  • Assist with monitoring project progress, variations, costs, and timelines, and prepare regular reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate meetings, site visits, and communications with consultants, contractors, and government agencies.
  • Assist with data collection, asset information management, and digitisation activities to support CIIC’s asset management functions.
  • Support compliance with government policies, procedures, and reporting requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

What We’re Looking For:

Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualification in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field (desirable).

Experience:

  • Experience in a project coordination, project administration, or similar support role (essential).
  • Experience working within a government or public-sector environment, or on infrastructure or building projects, would be an advantage.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively within a team environment.

Why Join CIIC?

At CIIC, we are committed to the care, management, and optimal use of public assets to ensure long-term sustainability and value for the Cook Islands community. A competitive salary package and opportunities for learning, development, and career progression are offered to the successful candidate.
